Article PEER Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Emerging Business Innovation Management (JEBIM) are evaluated through a structured and confidential peer-review process. The journal uses a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the evaluation process. This approach is intended to support objective assessment and uphold the academic integrity of the publication process.
Following submission, each manuscript is first examined by the editorial team to assess its relevance to the journal’s scope, basic scholarly quality, originality, and compliance with applicable ethical and submission requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic criteria or fall outside its scope may be rejected at the editorial screening stage without being sent for external review. Manuscripts that successfully complete the initial assessment are considered for detailed evaluation by suitable independent reviewers.
Reviewers are selected according to their academic qualifications, subject expertise, research experience, and suitability for the manuscript under consideration. The editorial team is responsible for identifying and appointing reviewers and takes reasonable steps to avoid potential conflicts of interest. Authors may suggest suitable reviewers where permitted; however, such suggestions do not determine the final selection, which remains the responsibility of the journal’s editorial team.
JEBIM is committed to maintaining fairness, confidentiality, independence, and ethical conduct throughout the peer-review process. The journal follows recognized principles of publication ethics and encourages reviewers to conduct evaluations objectively, respectfully, and responsibly. Reviewers are expected to protect the confidentiality of manuscripts, identify potential conflicts of interest, provide constructive comments, and avoid using unpublished information for personal or professional advantage. The journal also takes guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.
