Policy for Plagiarism
Journal of Data Science and Innovation (JDSI) enforces a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism to safeguard the integrity and originality of published work.
Definition: Plagiarism includes the use of another person’s ideas, text, data, or creative work without proper acknowledgment. This may involve direct copying, close paraphrasing, duplicate submission, or inadequate citation of sources.
Screening: All manuscripts are checked using reliable plagiarism detection tools before entering the peer review process. Submissions with significant similarity or unethical duplication may be sent back for revision or rejected outright.
Author Responsibility: Authors must ensure their submissions are original, properly reference prior work, and comply with accepted citation standards.
Editorial Measures: In cases where plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal will follow the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. This may result in corrections, retractions, or notification of the author’s institution.
By enforcing this policy, the journal remains committed to upholding ethical publishing practices and promoting trustworthy scholarship.
